Fariha Naqvi is a Quebec-born Muslim woman who came to her faith as a young adult. Raised in an Indo-Pakistani family that was more secular than religious, she rediscovered the religion as an young adult. Now, Fariha is a fierce defender of her faith and is committed to challenging stereotypes about Muslim women, as well as educating the larger community through her journalism. A columnist at the Montreal Gazette and a video journalist at CITY TV Montreal, Fariha continues the ongoing conversation about faith, women and representation. She also talks about life as a Muslim woman and mother at her popular blog, Canadian Mom Eh.
